Each year, Mary Greeley employees nominate their colleagues for the Innovation & Excellence Awards in the areas of medical practice, leadership, nursing practice and service delivery. The recipients of these honors consistently demonstrate going above and beyond to make impactful contributions to the patient, visitor and/or workforce experience at Mary Greeley.

Shelby seeks opportunities to enhance the overall patient experience which is evident from the recognition she receives from Real Time patient feedback reports. Patients commend Shelby for her compassion and professionalism in performing what can be an uncomfortable exam. She has established a reputable mammography service line for Mary Greeley by providing high quality patient care.
Phil is currently the chair of the Workforce Violence Committee. He has worked countless hours and is the driving force in implementing the EPIC banner for violent patients, workplace violence signage, streamlining Midas reporting, tip sheets for new hires in how to manage challenging patients, GRAM articles, and continuous education for our staff. Phil has started an organizational transformation!
Ron inspires a shared vision of improving work processes in order to promote patient centered care. He has an ability to question processes without offending those responsible. Through his rapid improvement events, Ron maps out processes, waste, and opportunities. One cannot help but to feel inspired to improve processes in his events. He has a gift of providing constructive and candid feedback, even when it's not the easy thing to do.

Dr. Golchin is the type of person I look up to, despite incredibly high work demands, he is never irritated or short tempered when the ED calls him. One night he helped get his ill elderly neighbor to the emergency department. He came in to make sure the patient was settled, noted how busy it was, and bought everyone cookies. This is the type of person he is, cares greatly for everyone else.
We nominate innovative physicians for this award. After watching Dr. Golchin practice, he’s done more than innovate. He offers patients and physicians fearless service.
