Story County Public Health COVID-19 Vaccine Update:

Updated COVID-19 mRNA vaccines for 2023-24 manufactured by Moderna, Pfizer, and Novavax have been updated to include a monovalent (single) component that corresponds to the Omicron variant XBB.1.5.

COVID Vaccine Eligibility

Any adult living in the US who does not have health insurance or whose health insurance does not provide zero-cost access to COVID-19 vaccines is eligible to receive a cost-free COVID-19 vaccine through the Bridge Access Program.

Story County Public Health will only provide COVID-19 vaccines for those eligible for the VFC (Vaccines for Children) program and the Bridge Access Program.

We encourage individuals with health insurance who are interested in receiving the COVID-19 Vaccine to contact their health care provider, CVS pharmacy, or Walgreens Pharmacy.

Vaccine Recommendations

COVID-19 vaccination is recommended for everyone ages 6 months and older in the United States for the prevention of COVID-19. There is currently no FDA-approved or FDA-authorized COVID-19 vaccine for children younger than age 6 months. CDC recommends that people stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccination.
