Stroke care at the Stroke Center at Mary Greeley Medical Center includes pre-hospital care, diagnostic testing, inpatient care, and rehabilitation.

  • Pre-Hospital Care: Field assessment and expedited treatment are the focus of paramedic specialists, as well as specially trained registered nurses and board-certified neurologists.
  • Diagnostic Testing: To provide timely diagnosis, emergency diagnostic testing services, including MRI, carotid Doppler ultrasound, echocardiogram, CT scan and laboratory services, are available 24 hours a day.
  • Inpatient Care: At the Intensive Coronary Care Unit (ICCU) and our Medical Telemetry Unit, patients receive advanced care and monitoring.         
  • Rehabilitaton Center: 17 private rooms offer a quiet and comfortable setting for rehabilitation.

The team at the Stroke Center at Mary Greeley Medical Center is focused on evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation. That includes a variety of specialties—neurology, neurosurgery, radiology, internal medicine and emergency medicine—and specially trained registered nurses. Rehabilitation also utilizes teams of registered nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists. Post-stroke patients may also receive physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy as outpatients at Mary Greeley Medical Center Rehab & Wellness.
