South Hamilton Community Donates To Mary Greeley Pediatrics
AMES, IA – Members of the South Hamilton High School Student Council recently delivered donated games and toys to the Mary Greeley Pediatric Unit through the Mary Greeley Foundation.
For the third year in a row, members of the student council organized a toy drive for the month of December. Games, toys and stuff animals were collected during home basketball games and activities and then brought to Mary Greeley to be distributed to pediatric patients throughout the year. “Many people in our community utilize the services of Mary Greeley and they are excited to give contribute,” said Anna Ervin, Student Council Vice President. The student council collected over $1,000 of items. Council President Gabbi Struchen added, “This is a fun way to give back. We really enjoy this project and hope it continues for a long time.” Both Ervin and Struchen are seniors.
