Mary Greeley Medical Center Foundation Presents Greeley Awards

The Mary Greeley Medical Center Foundation held its annual celebration at the ISU Alumni Center on November 8, 2017 and awarded Greeley Awards to Danfoss and Dan and Sharon Krieger. Greeley Awards celebrate those who demonstrate a commitment to philanthropy, and whose contributions and leadership are invaluable to Mary Greeley Medical Center through support of the Mary Greeley Foundation.

“We are extremely grateful to our award winners and all of our donors and volunteers who invest in our mission to advance health through specialized care and personal touch,” says Melissa McGarry, Executive Director of the Mary Greeley Foundation. “In this changing healthcare environment we are grateful for the constant of their leadership and inspirational commitment.”

Danfoss, a global manufacturing company with more than 1,000 employees in Ames, was recognized for their long-time partnership and support, investing in its community by generously supporting Mary Greeley Medical Center. In addition to significant gifts to several campaigns, they provide annual support through the foundation’s sponsorship program. Danfoss is a current sponsor of the Mary Greeley Mileage Club, which helps promote healthy living and active lifestyles by encouraging elementary students to eat fruits and vegetables and move more.

Ames residents, Dan & Sharon Krieger were honored for providing outstanding leadership and support to Mary Greeley Medical Center and the Foundation for more than 30 years. In addition to attending fundraising events, making annual gifts to the auxiliary and foundation, and generously supporting campaigns, they have included the foundation in their estate plans and are members of the Greeley Society. They are committed volunteers and served as co-chairs for the Extraordinary Visions Campaign. Dan served on the foundation board and Sharon is a lifetime member of the auxiliary.
