Community Impact

Mary Greeley Medical Center is a municipal, not-for-profit, multi-service hospital. The medical center receives no tax support. As a non-profit, Mary Greeley’s revenues are used to continually improve patient care through enhanced staff skills, technology and facilities. A portion of our revenues are annually reinvested in the communities we serve through health and wellness programs, sponsorships, and financial assistance. This reinvestment is referred to as Community Benefits.

In 2018, our Community Benefits totaled more than $30 million. This includes an approximately $13.5 million shortfall in Medicaid/Medicare reimbursement, nearly $1 million in financial assistance, $178,000 in Donations, and $1.3 million to Community-Building Activities.
